Schools and Universities

Barton Hyett provide tree condition and risk assessment surveys for many educational establishments.

Trees have significant benefits for school children and students, helping to create a pleasant and healthy environment for learning.  Many schools now utilise areas of their sites for ‘Forest Schools’; outdoor learning which encourages contact with the natural environment.

Whilst the benefits of trees must not be understated, school and estate managers are tasked with maintaining places that are safe, and trees can pose a risk and require ongoing maintenance.  We can provide inventory surveys (mapping and documenting all trees within the site) or a walk-over survey that will identify trees that require some remedial work.

Our staff all hold enhanced DBS certificates to provide you with more assurance of our suitability to work around school sites.
